SingaporeGALLERYCONVERSATION
A key referent in my work is Rangoli – the Indian folk custom of floor-art generated at festivals such as Diwali (Festival of Lights).

Rangoli designs are passed from one generation of women to another, taught to daughters as young as six years old. The centrality of women to the process is integral to my pointed use of this Indian tradition.
