We’ve watched the fall of the Berlin Wall, the rise in genocide and civil war, the beginning of the “War on Terror.” Political insecurity is the signature of our times, and it is a defining element of our generation’s experience.

Join us in reading about some of the astonishing events that young women have witnessed, and how it has affected their lives. In some cases, like that of Lacrima-Violeta Andreica from Romania, revolution has been a liberating experience. Others, like Mishka Moujabber Mourani from Lebanon and Torange Yeghiazarian from Iran, have had to watch their home countries “torn to shreds” because of the wars and the political turbulence they experienced growing up.

What has been your experience of today’s turbulent geopolitics?
