Taking control of my own life

In Mexican culture, a woman is raised for matrimony. She assists the man as a secretary, an aide, an employee, cashier, manager and...
But that same history has pushed us to question the path they followed. Seeing my mother’s life, I have had the strength to take control of my own, to cling to my decisions, my desires, whatever the price. Through questioning her, and her generation, I know clearly the way in which my generation must act. We have learned to shout louder until we are heard. We want people to recognize that women have much to say and to contribute.
