Improving our Communities
Yen Chua
SingaporeGALLERYCONVERSATION
Women from my generation are vocal and expressive. With newfound confidence in our abilities and capabilities, we have earned ourselves the status in society where we can contribute and lead the way towards improving the welfare of our communities and the nation.

This is largely due to unbiased educational opportunities.

Still, my generation of women is often seen as a threat for the men in their social standing, but the number of men who hold such views are steadily decreasing. This is so because we have proven ourselves equal and capable at each and every crossroad of life.

But this does not mean we want to outdo or rebel against men. We just believe that if men and women utilize and contribute their strengths to society, then mankind can surely achieve newer and greater heights.

This is happening. Wherever women are contributing in societies, these societies have developed. Where they are still repressed, these societies are backward technologically, economically and socially. So in a way, my generation of women is a great determining factor of where a society or a country is heading.
