Two worlds
Manal Al-Dowayan
Saudi ArabiaGALLERYCONVERSATION
The changing face of these worlds is sometimes shocking and scary, other times beautiful and peaceful.
The different generations of women in my family had little or no access to education, work opportunities and the phenomena of the blurring of borders. Thanks to the ease of travel, my generation of women, regardless of wealth, marital status, or nationality has the opportunity to see and live the beauty of different cultures.
Through a black box that holds glass and a strip of chemical paper I am able to express myself. The beauty captured by my camera is sometimes the only thing that unites my two worlds.
