| I am fascinated by our ability to recall past events and emotions. We just cannot seem to leave the past behind. Our past keeps on coming back enriched with new words, images and feelings. I believe that our identities are powerfully rooted in our ability to recollect our past. |

I look at the people in front of me and try to understand their past and predict their future. Sometimes, I can almost see the threads of before and after that pull them in these two opposite directions. |
