While weaving the thread into my skin, I thought about the multiple meanings a needle and thread had for the women of Latin America. I thought about the aboriginal women's costumes we inherited from our ancestors. I thought about domestic violence.
I dreamed about a warm home and, in my mind, houses with chimneys and fireplaces signified warmth, comfort and happiness.
