At the University of California-San Francisco Women’s Global Health Imperative, we believe that the Life Wrap is a valuable tool in the fight against obstetric hemorrhage, and are conducting research in Nigeria, Egypt, Zambia, and Zimbabwe to prove it.
Bringing a child into the world and motherhood should be a source of great joy, not one of the leading causes of death in many regions of the world; especially when the majority could be so easily prevented. As young women, we should recognize how fortunate we are if we have access to high-quality health care, and advocate for those who do not.
